Description
Chamaedorea seifrizii or Bamboo Palm by the common name is a beautiful central American palm that grows well in Australia. This species is widely found in use by landscape hire firms in shopping centre malls, indoor home landscapes and in many gardens. It is a very resiliant plant that can tolerate full sun but looks best in the shade to partial shade setting.
Whilst the palm does sucker, it is non invasive and after establishing itself as a mass planting, provides excellent screening for privacy. maximum height in full sun is about 3 metres but can grow slightly higher in shaded areas.
